(I got very up close and personal on this one and he/she was visibly annoyed at having to stare at the lens).

Dominic...love the IR picture. would using an IR filter have any effect on the sky?

Montu - using an IR filter should produce the same sort of effect although the exposure will be quite a bit longer - this can lead to streaking clouds (very effective in their own right). Using a modified camera gives the luxury of normal shutter speeds which means shots can be hand held if required.
To get the effect I have here you will need to process the RAW image which will just look very red.
