Looks like my PC died last night (no great supprise) so time to make a switch to a MAC Laughing

They seem much cheaper abroad but would rather buy here, any recomendations for a good (cheap) suppler here ?

It's very expensive here. And as far as I know Apple International warranty is valid here.
If you don't want to go online, you'll find cheaper prices at Terminal 3 (departure) and Mr. Laptop in Al Ain center (Dubai).
the prices in other places are ridiculous.

Yes. The prices there are good as I said. I know that the 15" i7 (MC373) is selling at 10,399 in i-Styles and virgin.

If you will do photo editing on it, I suggest you get the optional Anti-Glare.
If you're planning to buy online, let me know. I have a 3% discount valid until June 30.

In fact if you are headed anyplace this summer, check local prices and buy it if cheaper than Dubai.

My suggestion is to buy it outside, get an extended warranty which they will have to honor here.

There are two shops in Al Ain which i found cheaper than the rest...i ended up buying it from compu plus i think...on yer left as you enter the mall... the second one was on the 2nd floor.shop selling only apple.

i got the older version 374... for aed 4795/- mind you these dont carry warranty at all. but they let u check it once u confirm the purchase. its more like buying a unlocked phone !

What i liked about this shop is the prices were printed on the box.....n bold NO WARRANTY....!!

I am not sure on the external warranties been honored here, its more like based on their choice.....istyle.!! seen things happen may b they improved now.
